Since qualitative methods encompass a vast range of tools and logics of inquiry, the meaning and practicalities of transparency might vary across these differing approaches. As we plan the next phase of these deliberations, the Steering Committee would like to get a better sense of the range of understandings, practices, benefits, and challenges of transparency across qualitative research approaches.

You can help us by sharing scholarly norms, opportunities, and challenges when addressing transparency concerns within your research community/ies. What does transparency ideally and practically entail for scholarship in your research community/ies? What is expected of researchers who are addressing transparency concerns within your community/ies?

Some contributors have already begun articulating what transparency means for specific research approaches, but there is much more to be said. Any and all input is much appreciated.
